Cathy Moore

Cathy Thomas Moore, 59, of Gastonia, passed away Monday, July 16, 2012, at Gaston Memorial Hospital. She was born October 11, 1952 in Gaston County, daughter of Lillian Thomasson Jarrard of Clover and the late Rufus Thomas. Mrs. Moore's children and grandchildren were the love of her life. She enjoyed cooking and loved to travel. A funeral service will be held 1pm on Friday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia. The family will receive friends 6:30 - 8:30 on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City. In addition to her mother she is also survived by: her loving husband of 38 years, Jerry D. Moore of the home; son, Jason Moore of Gastonia; daughters and sons in-law, Christy J. and Joseph Hughes of Clover, Wendy and Paul Grimes of Olive Branch, MS; sister and brother in-law, Carolyn and Barry Barta of York, SC; grandchildren, Ashley L. Hughes, Logan Hughes, Hailey Grimes. In addition to her father she was also preceded in death by: step father, Cecil Jarrard; grandparents, Dave and Lorene Thomasson.
