Cathy Heffner

Cathy Hord Heffner, 65, of Clover, passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021, at Atrium Health in Shelby.

Cathy was born on May 10, 1956, in Baltimore Co, Maryland, to the late Cleo Hord and Frances  Brown McCowan.

Cathy retired in 2019 from York Electric Cooperative. Following her retirement, she spent much of her time doing home remodeling. Cathy loved to travel and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Heffner, Jr.; grandson, Bryson Pack; and sister, Mary Edythe Sibiski.

Left to cherish Cathy's memories are her sons, Michael Faile (Kerri) and Billy Heffner (Tracy); daughters, Danielle Faile Boyte (Shane), Christal Faile Pack, and Laura Heffner Stearns (John); brother, Jack Hord; sister, Sherry Richmond; grandchildren, Micah and Piper Faile, Cody, and Gage Boyte, Devin, and Emma Pack, Zach, Brandon , and Alexis Stearns, David , Mark , Chance and Taylor Heffner; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Jack Hord, will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Chapel Grove Church of God – 4639 Chapel Grove School Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church.

Masks will be provided by the family.

Interment to follow the service at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York, SC.
