Cathy Diane Carver

Cathy Diane Carver - September 22, 1950 - March 5, 2014 Cathy passed away March 5th at Cleveland Regional surrounded by family and friends. She has been received by her Lord and Savior. Daughter of the late, Vanonia B. Jackson and Author Leonard Carver, sister of the late, Evon Walker and Cecil Carver. Survivors include 2 sisters, Florence Carver Williams of Clover, SC and Judy Bingham of Gastonia; 2 brothers, Don and Blair Carver of Kings Mountain; nieces, Bobbie Valk of Clover, SC, Carol Williams of Shelby, Teena Tate of Cherryville, Carla Foster of Hickory; nephews, Lee Williams of Shelby, David, Billy, Brian, Randy, Johnny, Michael McCall, Clay, Chris and Josh Carver, many great-nieces and nephews; and special friend Becky Bingham. Cathy was her sister, Florence's heart and she was Cathy's. Her favorite person was her brother-in-law, Ned. Cathy will be dearly missed by so many who loved her, especially Cindy LuLu Carver, Dennis Valk, do you preach? The family would like to thank Com Serv for their support and love for Cathy and our family. A special thank you to Shirley Dorsey, Angie Gellner, Kenbria McKinzie and Kizzie Oglesby for being there for Cathy's going home to be with the Lord. Our precious Cathy saw beauty in everyone, she had a beautiful spirit and loved life. A graveside service will be held at 3 pm on Saturday at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Chester Waters. The family will receive friends 6 - 8 pm Friday at Greene Funeral Service -South Chapel -1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium.
