Cathey P. Holcombe

Old Fort, NC Cathey P. Holcombe, 56, formerly of Gastonia, went to be with The Lord, June 18, 2013, at John F. Keever Solice Ctr., in Asheville.

She was born August 4, 1956 in Gaston County, daughter of the late, Arthur Price Jr. and Vennie Aileene Parker Rankin.

Cathey was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of Salem Free Will Baptist Church, in Old Fort.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm on Saturday at First Assembly of God, Gastonia, officiated by her husband, Rev. Harold W. Holcombe, Revs. Richard Cole, Melvin Revis and Vincent White.

Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Belmont. The family will not be receiving friends.

She is survived by: her loving husband Rev. Harold Wayne Holcombe; sons and daughters in-law, Joshua and Elizabeth Holcombe, Aaron and Wendy Holcombe; brothers, James Price, Eddie Rankin, Mark Rankin; grandchildren, Nicole, Christian, Courtney, Jonathon and Alexa Holcombe; great grandchild, Landon Davis. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
