Catherine Holt

Catherine "Cat" Holt, 88, of Gastonia, passed away May 17, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born November 18, 1929, a native of Gaston County, the daughter of the late Herschel Joseph Davis and Muriel Rush.

She loved her family, church family, crocheting, Braves and baking and her dog Daisy and was a member of East Baptist Church in Gastonia.

The family wishes to say a special thank you to Wanda, Dawn, Deteria, Beverly and Pastor Carl of Hospice.

Cat is survived by her daughters, Susan Holt Cook and husband, Mike and Tonda Kennedy and husband, Red; and granddaughter, Catherine Cook and husband, Les.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Holt; son, Richard Snider; and brothers, Joe and Bill Davis.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Tim Parker, will be held 3 pm Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

The family will receive friends 2 – 3 pm Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
