Cassandra Robinson

April 27, 1948 — April 18, 2016

Cassandra Robinson, daughter of the late Benny Burton and of the late Anna Mae Lightner was born April 27, 1948, in Gastonia, North Carolina.  She passed away at her home on Monday April 18, 2016.  A loving mother of five, Cassandra was a caring individual who used her life to aid others.  She brought joy to all she came in contact with.  Her desire to help others lead to such accomplishments as receiving her Masters in Social Work, becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and serving as a Clinical Director.  Cassandra was a hard worker who would take on any job, sometimes multiple ones, such as providing cleaning services and being the DJ voice of The Quiet Storm for a local radio station. She did anything to ensure her family was taken care of.  She enjoyed cooking and baking and sharing life with her family especially her 3 grandchildren.  Even up to her untimely passing, Cassandra continued to put faith and trust in her God Jehovah.  She relied on her hope for everlasting life in a paradise Earth where sickness and death would be a thing of the past.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Arthur Robinson, Jonathan Robinson and wife Christine, Michael Robinson, David Robinson; daughter, Felicia Robinson; brothers, Dennis, Richard, Johnny, Chris Burton; sisters, Yolanda Lightner Galloway, Rhonda Lightner, Deborah Ballard, Sheryl Banks, Benita Alves, Michelle D'Orsogna; grandchildren, Ben, Tesla, Pierce Robinson; Numerous cousins.
