Carroll "Sam" Henry

Carroll "Sam" Henry, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Friday, January 26, 2024, at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

He was born on July 11, 1953, in Sevier County, Tennessee, to the late Stanley and Cecile Henry.

Sam served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and working outside. He loved his family and his fur baby Dixie.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Mike Gibby.

Sam is survived by his wife of more than 36 years, Susan Gibby Henry; daughter, Samantha Henry; daughter-in-law, Tammy Gibby; granddaughters, Kelsey Newcomb (Jacob), Ava Conner; grandsons, C.J. Weaver, Michael Gibby, Michael Ownby (Toni); sister, Doris Creswell (Sonny); brother, Charles Henry, (Sharon); sisters-in-law, Juanita Dean (Danny), Sybil Eldridge (Bobby); brothers-in-law, Tommy Gibby (Tami), Malcolm Webb; his special moms, Nancy Bell, Bobbie Sue Gibby; many nieces and nephews in Tennessee and North Carolina.

Services will be scheduled at a later date.
