Carrie L. Blake, 73, of Angola, Indiana passed away Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Northern Lakes Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Angola, Indian. She has lived in Angola for 7 years coming from Bessemer City, NC. She was born April 3, 1939 to the late Roy and Anna (Buchanan) Biddix in Spruce Pine, NC. She was married to the late Fred Blake on December 13, 1980. A graveside service will be 11:00 am on Saturday at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Friday at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd., Gastonia Mrs. Blake is survived by: sons, Vaughn Franklin Jr. of Bessemer City, Timothy Bruce Franklin of Gastonia; daughters, Brenda Lowery and husband Lester of Angola, IN, Sherry Miller of Gastonia; step-daughter, Brenda Davis and husband Jerry of NC; step-sons, Jerry and Gary Absur of NC; brother, Jimmy Biddix and wife Gladys of Cherryville; sisters, Minnie Whitman of Gastonia, Connie Gibbs and husband Sonny of WV; grandchildren, Shauna Woodard of Ohio, Jason Lowery and wife Manda of IN, Chris Miller and Stacy Franklin both of NC; great grandchildren, Jacob Woodard and Hallie Llewellyn both of OH.
