Carolyn Powell Welch

Carolyn Powell Welch,82, of Waco, went to her heavenly home February 1, 2022,

She was born in Waverly Florida, on November 21, 1939, but made her home in Cleveland County with her parents as a little girl.

She retired for Globe Manufacturing of Gastonia.

She was preceded in death by her husband of twenty years, Junior Welch; her dad, Grover Luke Powell; her mom, Mary Elizabeth Connor and her brother, Lamar Powell.

Carolyn leaves behind her son, Carl Michael Rippy; two daughters, June Rippy and Carla Mull; three grandchildren, Jimmy Parker Jr., Jeannie Sheppard and Wayne McDonald; seven great-grandchildren; along with her special little dog, Sophia.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Monday, February 7, 2022, at Westview Gardens, 1123 Edgewood Road, Bessemer City.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, Gastonia.
