Carolyn Summitt Gosnell

Carolyn Summitt Gosnell, 70, of Gastonia, passed away August 31, 2012 at Peak Resources, Gastonia. She was born October 16, 1941 in Gaston County, daughter of the late William Franklin Brian Summitt and Edna McDaniel Vincie. A funeral service will held 12:00 pm Wednesday at Greene Funeral Service - West Chapel, 216 Archie Whiteside Rd. Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Andy Nicholson and Rev. Ted Smith. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Westview Gardens Cemetery, Bessemer City. Mrs. Gosnell is survived by: her sons, Frank and spouse Tammy Welch, Steve Welch; daughter, Donna and spouse Dean Wall; step-daughters, April, Michelle; brother, L.C. Summitt; sisters, Ginny Boatright, Kelly Mae; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by: her husband; brother, Brian Summitt Jr.; sister. Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
