Carolyn McKinnish

Carolyn McKinnish, a beloved family member and friend, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on August 28, 1942, in Anson County, North Carolina, Carolyn lived a life full of love and laughter in Stanley, NC.

Carolyn was a dedicated monitor technician, proudly serving at Caromont Regional Medical Center for over 20 years before retiring. She poured her heart into her work and built strong friendships along the way. After her retirement, she filled her days with the joy of yard sales, always on the hunt for a great find.

Family was everything to Carolyn, and she cherished her time with her husband, William McKinnish; daughter, Deanna Estridge; sons, Jay Estridge, David Estridge and Robbie Gordon; grandson, David Estridge, Jr; great grandson, G-Man.

She had a special place in her heart for her beloved birds, which brought her much happiness. Carolyn's warm spirit and distinctive way of saying, "Lord willing, if the creek don't rise," will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude for the care Carolyn received at Stanley Total Living, where she made many friends during her time there.

All services will be held private by the family.

Carolyn will be missed dearly but will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Ruth Turner Liles.
