Carolyn Dixon Griffin

Carolyn Dixon Griffin, 81, of Gastonia, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016 at the Brian Center.

She was born January 21, 1935 in Gaston County, daughter of the late Arson Herbert Dixon and Mary Dixon.

Carolyn was a member of Free Will Baptist Church in Lowell.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Grady Griffin and son, Terry Lee Griffin.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Tim Griffin and wife Sandra, Lester Griffin, Allen Griffin and wife Robin; daughter, Dona Phillips and husband Ronnie; Grandmaw Griffin had fifteen grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Paul Grindstaff, will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 10, at Greene Funeral Service 1503 S. York Road, Gastonia.

The family will receive friends 1-2 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
