Carolyn Gardner Busha, born on March 10, 1941, went home to be with the Lord on June 23, 2021, at the Robin Johnson House, Dallas. May she rest in peace.
A native of Stanley but called Gastonia home. Born to Grace and Clyde N. Gardner, whom was a WWII veteran killed in combat when she was only 2 years old.
She started out at Honeys then a curb hop at the Clock BBQ House and retired from Amp Inc. as a machine operator after 25 years.
She was blessed with 4 children, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
She loved flowers, gardening and definitely had two green thumbs. She could make anything grow. Carolyn also loved animals, and puzzles. She was of the Baptist faith. Carolyn loved the Lord with all of her heart.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn is preceded in death by her sons, Eugene and Reggie Vickers.
She leaves behind a half sister, Linda Kirby; son, Michael S. Ray; daughter, Deborah Meadows: grandchildren, Tonya, Joshua, Waylon, Eric, Carly, and Crissy; and great grandchildren, Liam, Lola, Landon, Chase and Ciarra.
A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Sam Barnette, will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC, 28052. The family will receive friends at the funeral home an hour before the service.
Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont, NC.
