Carolyn Elaine Benenhaley

Carolyn Benenhaley, 81, of Dallas, NC, passed away Monday, August 26, 2024, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC.

She was born July 12, 1943, in Gastonia, NC to the late Bill and Helen Long.

Carolyn was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She lived a full life and was a caring individual.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Long.

She is survived by her son, Gary Messer and wife Stephanie; daughter, Carolee Bultman and husband Bruce; grandchildren, Heather and husband Josh, Taylor and husband Matt, Jessica and husband Roger, and Gregory; and great-grandchildren, Addison, Grayson, Gatlin, Haylen, Wyatt, and Cameron; sister, Linda Miller; brothers, Gary Long and wife Libby and Eddie Long and wife Wanda.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 30, 2024, 1:30 - 2:30 pm at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052. A graveside will follow the visitation at Gaston Memorial Park, 1200 S. New Hope Road, Gastonia, NC.
