Carol Bridges

Carol Crawford Bridges, 73, of Shelby, went peacefully to be with the Lord on February 20, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Carol was born June 6, 1949, to the late A.C. Crawford Jr. and Shirley Glenn Crawford.

She was loved dearly by her late stepmother, Ruth Kiser Crawford. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill Bridges Sr., and a brother, Buddy Crawford.

Survivors include her children, Michael and wife Charlene Bridges of the home, Tammy Bridges and fiancé Kenny Madden of York, SC, Bill Bridges Jr. and wife Hope of Lancaster, SC; grandchildren, Ashley and Chrissy Bridges, Daniel Harris, Britnee and Travis Madden, Jennifer Reines and Becky Travis; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Lingerfelt; stepsister, Linda Stewart; stepsister-in-law, Phyllis Gilleland all of Bessemer City,  special niece, Sherry Stewart Dellinger  and numerous  other nieces and nephews;  and best friends , Shirley Davis, Vicky Postell, Linda Black.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, February 25, 2023, Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Sam Barnette.

The family will receive friends 2-3 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to defray funeral expenses to Carol Bridges Memorial Fund in c/o Michael and Charlene Bridges 2605 Oak Grove Road Shelby, NC 28150.
