It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carlos Jackie Hill, who left us on July 10, 2026, at the age of 65. Born on November 1, 1960, in Waynesville, North Carolina, Carlos was a beloved brother and a devoted outdoorsman who found peace and joy while fishing and exploring the great outdoors.

Carlos spent his working years as a contractor in the residential construction industry, where he was known for his hard work and dedication. While he may not have completed formal schooling, he possessed a wealth of practical knowledge and skills that earned him respect from his peers.

He is survived by his loving sisters, Vicky Looper and Debra Seaman (Stewart Frank); nieces, Tonya Carver, Jennifer Oates, Lindsey and husband Josh Brownell, Joy Ziebart, Ruby Lee Hill, and Debbie Lynn Hardin; nephew, K. C. Shannon; who will cherish their memories of him always.

Carlos was preceded in death by his parents, Carlos and Johnnie Hill; nephews, Stephen Ashley Clark and William Randall Hill.

Carlos will be missed dearly by everyone who knew him. Rest in peace, Carlos, and may you find eternal tranquility along the banks of your favorite fishing spots.
