Carl H. Shay, Iii

Bessemer City, N.C - Mr. Carl H. Shay, lll, 50 years old, transitioned to eternity on Thursday, March 7, 2024. Carl was a beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, friend, and a father who loved his daughter with all his heart. He attend Long Creek Elementary School and also attended Alexander Graham middle school. Carl found a job he loved a lot at the Dole Fresh Vegetables Plant after working as a cook for Hooters for so many years.. As Carl got older he had a great love for NASCAR's and a love for turning on some 80's music while cooking and grilling when he had down time from work. Carl matched his demeanor with the quietness of an old soul.

Carl was born to Carl H. Shay, Jr. and the late Luvinia Jackson Parker in Orlando, Florida on Saturday, January 12, 1974. Carl was raised between Huntersville, and Morrisville, North Carolina. Where he ended up residing in Bessemer City, North Carolina.

Carl is survived by his 1 daughter Brittany Nichole Shay and 1 granddaughter of Des Moines, Lowa. His Father Carl H Shay Jr.(Mary Shay) 1 nephew Devin Shay 1 Neice Christy Shay Children to Shannon) of Apopka, Fl ; His Three brothers Christopher Carl Shay (1 Neice Juliette Shay and 1 nephew Dalton Shay) of Apopka ,Fl and Arthur Alvin Parker Jr. ( Brittani Jessica Parker) 2 niece's (Emma Grace and Aubrey Faith) of Milton, Ohio ; Arthur D Shay of Morrisville , NC; 5 Sister's Christy L Weekly(Anthony Weekly) 1 Neice Shaelyn Badeaux 1 nephew Cole Smith) of Carriere Ms; Billie Joi Gomez ( Jose Gomez) 2 Neice's ( Hailey Callender and Kelsie Callender) of Apopka Fl ; Cheryl Dean Robinson (Micheal T. Robinson) of Rock Hill SC , 1 nephew (Ahren Brown of Akin SC) Tiffany A Martinez (Ezequiel Martinez Lopez) 4 nephews ( Carlos Hernandez, Juan Hernandez, Waldo Hernandez ,Christan Hernandez) of Apopka Fl; Ashley Lopez 1 Neice Natalia Martinez 3 nephews Juan Martinez Jr,  Jesus Martinez, Gonzalo Martinez ) of  Sorrento Fl. His Aunts, Uncles, many cousins.

Carl was preceded in death by his Mother Luvinia Jackson Parker, His sister Shannon Lynn Shay Perez

Carl will always be remembered for his courage to try and try again. He will be fondly remembered for his charming smile and his loyalty to his family and close friends. His family and friends will cherish memories of his warmth and quick wit. Carl was a fighter with an indomitable sprit. At times, Carl struggled not knowing where he fit in. All the while he fit into his family and community at his work place at the Dole Fresh Vegetables Plant in Bessemer City. Where he made lasting friends with everyone. Carl is now free. He has been welcomed into the arms of his Heavenly Father. No more struggles. No more worries. Carl is now at peace.
