Gastonia, NC Carl Ray Pardue, age 90, passed away March 17, 2013 at the Robin Johnson Hospice House, Dallas, NC. He was born December 24, 1922 in Ronda, NC, son ot the late Maynard and Bertha Pardue. Carl was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a US Army Air Corps, WWII Veteran. He was the neighborhood Mr. Fixit, had a passion for golf and was a master of the German Johnson tomato. Special thanks to the wonderful staff of Gaston Hospice and the Robin Johnson Hospice House, who have been loving and kind to our Dad and our family. A memorial service will be held 11 am on Wednesday at New Hope Baptist Church, 2024 Redbud Dr., Gastonia, officiated by the Revs. George Gasperson and Ned Buckner. The family will receive friends 10-11 am on Wednesday prior to the service at the church. Interment will be private in Ronda, NC. He is survived by: his wife of 67 years, Lucille Alexander Pardue; children, Ginny Skarpalezos, Andy Pardue, Margaret Gasperson and their spouses; brothers, Warren and Jack Pardue; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
