Carl "Whisker" Lingerfelt

Carl "Whisker" Lingerfelt Jr., 72, of Shelby, passed away on October 18, 2015, at home with his family at his side. He was born August 18, 1943, in Mecklenburg County, son of the late Carl Samuel Lingerfelt Sr. and Ruby Willis Lingerfelt. He was retired from Firestone Mills, Kings Mountain. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Randy Richardson. Inurnment will be private. Mr. Lingerfelt is survived by son, Jimmy Lingerfelt; daughters, Linda Lingerfelt, Christy Rutherford and husband, Robert, Jennifer Lingerfelt, Audrey Aguirre and husband, Felix; son-in-law's, Mark Pereira, Kevin Sisk; sister, Mildred Clemmer; Twenty grandchildren; nineteen great - grandchildren; In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by, brothers, Jerry, Kenny and William Lingerfelt; daughters, Debra Sisk, Suzanne Pereira. Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
