Carl "Joe" Huey" Arthurs

Carl "Joe" "Huey" Arthurs, 65, of Gastonia, NC, passed away, Monday, May 3, 2021 at his residence.

He was born November 26, 1955, a native of Gaston Co, NC, son of the late Jasper Columbus Arthurs and Bonnie Louise Carter.

Carl served in USMC from 1972 – 1976 in Parris Island, SC. Operation Frequent Wind and Operation Eagle Pull. He received many medals including Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, Vietnam Civil Actions Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal and Combat Action Ribbon.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Cindy Bees Arthurs; loved one, Ted L. Greene; grandparents, Susie Bell Carter and Earl Tate Carter; siblings, Ronnie Arthurs, Ralph Arthurs and Tim Greene; and children, Michael Arthurs.

He is survived by his loved ones, Juanita Toby Greene; siblings, Jerry Arthurs, Karen Greene Lawrence, Beth Greene Owens and Sandi Greene Weaver; children, Timothy Arthurs, Harmony Woolard and Chris Arthurs; son-in-law, Jonathan Woolard; and grandchildren, Emma Woolard, Darla Neal, Abigail Neal and Gabrielle Arthurs.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Lamar Creel, will be held 3pm on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC, 28052.

Family will receive friends 5-8pm on Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will be private at a later date.
