Carl A. Hartman

Carl A. Hartman, 79, of Dallas, passed away May 1, 2015, at his residence. He was born October 6, 1935, in Hamburg, PA, son of the late Henry Hartman and Lillian Ditrich Hartman. Mr. Hartman was a US Marine Corps Veteran. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Lena Hartman; sisters, Jean Stoudt and Barbara Palm. Left to cherish his memories are his son, Terry Hartman and wife Judy of Gastonia; daughter, Carla Wilson of Dallas; brothers, Richard Hartman and wife Bernice of PA, David Hartman of PA; sisters, Ruth Kaley and husband Charles of PA, Florence Yerger, Helen Kline and husband Bruce of PA; grandchildren, Kristen Wilson, Jessica Beavers and husband Mark, Julie Hartman, Terry Scott Hartman, Christopher Bigger; and great grandson, Austin Beavers. A funeral service will be held 2pm, on Monday, at Springwood Freewill Baptist Church, 220 Park Terrace Dr., Belmont, NC, officiating the Rev. Jeff Silver. The family will receive friends 6-8pm, on Sunday, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 South York Rd., Gastonia, NC. Interment is at Gaston Memorial Park.
