Calvin Rodden

Calvin "Hoover" Rodden, 89, of Gastonia, passed away, Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at his residence.

Calvin was born September 9, 1928, in Gaston County, son of the late Carroll Rodden and Burnice Holt Rodden.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 63 years, Nancy Bursha Rodden; sons, Perry Rodden and wife, Nettie, Marty Rodden, John Rodden and wife, Sonja, Jerome Rodden; daughter, Amanda McCray and husband, Justin; brother, Vernon Rodden, Sr.; and sister, Myrlee Voiles; 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Calvin is preceded in death by his son, Calvin Paul Rodden.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm, Sunday, March 25, 2018, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd, Gastonia.  Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.
