Buster G. Stiles

Buster G. Stiles, 93, of Bessemer City, passed away February 23, 2018 at his residence.

He was born July 13, 1924 in Cherokee County, NC, son of the late Polie and Hattie Anderson Stiles.

Mr. Stiles was a member of First Assembly of God in Gastonia. He was retired from Firestone after 40 years of service.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the Catawba Regional Hospice, Diana Asbury, Ric Crane, and Judy Reeves.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Moetell Price Stiles; son, Jerry Stiles; grandson, Houston Patterson; son-in-law, Bill Panther; six brothers, Homer, Vaughn, Troy, Willard, Rex, and Ray; five sisters, Imogene, Ada, Kate, Inez, and Loretta.

Left to cherish his memories are his son, Ronnie Stiles and wife Carla; daughters, Linda Panther, Joyce Patterson and husband Ricky, Barbara Barber and husband Rodney, Valerie Stiles, Janice Hastings and husband Steve, Vivian Jackson and husband Clyde, Melody Guyton and husband Ken; 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Dennis Boyce, Pastor Lamar Creel, and Rev. Steve Hastings will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 26, 2018 at First Assembly of God in Gastonia.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd., Gastonia.

Interment will be in Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.
