Bud Goins

Bud Goins, 88, of Bessemer City, passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at his residence.

He was born on September 4, 1932, in Lincoln County, to the late Roland and Parlee White Goins.

In addition to his parents, Bud is preceded in death by a son, Buddy Fields; daughter, Shirley Towery; brothers, Frank, Bob, Jack and Tom Goins; and sisters, Betty Dellinger, Lillie Mae Wright and Vevette Ross.

Left to cherish his memories are wife, Mert Hatch Goins; sons, Eddie Goins (Diane) and Ray Goins (Wanda); sisters, Sue Neal, Pauline Willis, and Barbara Ann Williams; 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Tony Phillips, will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service- 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia, NC, 28052.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.

Interment will be at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County – 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150
