Brynlyn Mae Holmes

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a sweet girl, Brynlyn Mae Holmes, who left us far too soon on July 26, 2025 at the age of one. Brynlyn was born in Gastonia, North Carolina to Taylor Willis and Jake Holmes, Brynlyn brought joy and a whole lot of laughter into the lives of everyone who knew her with infectious smile and playful spirit.

Brynlyn was a true "pawpaw's girl", always found outside playing in the mud and water, creating memories that will forever be cherished. She had a special bond with her cousin, "Bubby" Karmon Wood, and their adventures together were the highlight of her short but vibrant life. She loved play fighting with bubby and her sister Addyson. Brynlyn worked her magic in the hearts of her loving family and friends that met her.

She is survived by her loving grandmother April Willis and her paternal grandparents Mike Holmes and Carla Hunt. She is survived by her loving aunts Katelynn Willis, Payton Willis, and Katie Bunch. She is survived by her great grandparents Diane and Roger Wood and Linda Willis. She also survived by many family and friends that loved her dearly.

Brynlyn was preceded in death by her parents Taylor Willis, Jake Holmes, grandfather Steven Willis, great grand paw David Willis, great uncle Scott Willis, 2nd cousin Christopher Willis, and her great cousin Kamron "Buddy" Wood.

Though our hearts are heavy, we will hold on to the beautiful memories we shared with sweet Brynlyn Mae. You will be forever loved and missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made to the Levine Childrens Hospital.

Visitation will be held 6:00pm-10:00pm, on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at First Assembly of God, Gastonia. Celebration of life service will be held 3:00pm Sunday, at the church.
