Bruce Carrol Mcmahan

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bruce Carrol McMahan, who left us on June 21, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on May 25, 1949, in South Carolina, Bruce spent his life in Gastonia, North Carolina, where he touched many lives with his kindness and warmth.

Bruce was a devoted husband to Linda McMahan and a proud father to his daughters, Tracie Guffie (Dean) and Cheryl Mills. He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. He wore his role as a husband and father like a badge of honor and cherished every moment he spent with his family. Bruce's love extended beyond his immediate family; he had a circle of lifelong friends with whom he enjoyed long chats over coffee, often sitting on his porch, sharing stories, laughter, and the simple joys of life.

Bruce had a solid career as a pipe fitter in the energy sector, a job he dedicated himself to with great pride. Despite his early education, his hands-on knowledge and skills made him a respected figure in his field.

Bruce's life will be celebrated with a celebration of life on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 7:00pm a his residence.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you take a moment to sit on your porch and enjoy a cup of coffee, just as Bruce would have liked. He will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley Jr. and Mildred McMahan; daughter, Sonia Brazzell; and three brothers.
