Brother Hugh Johns

Brother Hugh Johns, 72, of Lincolnton, passed away May 8, 2016 at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas.

He was born December 21, 1943 in Mecklenburg County, the son of the late Hugh Thomas Johns Sr. and Roxie Parks Johns.

He was the pastor of Faith Tabernacle in Cherryville.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 55 years Dorothy Johns; sons Tommy Johns, Timothy Johns and wife Lisa and Marcus Johns and six grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Rebekah Johns and brother Billy Parks and his wife Linda.

A funeral service, officiated by Brother Keith Brown, will be held 2:30 pm Thursday at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

Visitation will be held 12:30 – 2:15 pm Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
