Brian Powell

Brian Powell, 66, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Monday, April 17, 2023, at Mercy Medical Plaza, Charlotte.

He was born July 10, 1956, in Fulton Co, GA, son of the late Robert Lawrence Powell and Kathryn Mary Ayers Powell.

Brian was from the Atlanta area and went to MD Collins high school. He started working for Piedmont airlines in 1976 in Atlanta Georgia. Brian and I met when I was working at the airport. We got married 4- 24- 82. We would have been married 41 years, but he passed away one week before our anniversary. Brian loved to go camping whenever he could, especially when Lacy was a little girl. We would go camping as a family every year.  He loved the outdoors, photography, and definitely had a love for animals. Chico our dog is sure gonna miss his pawpaw.

Brian is proceeded in death by his parents Robert Lawrence Powell and Kathryn Mary Powell; his two brothers, Jerry and Larry Powell.

He is survived by his sister Beth Powell Harris his brother-in-law Robin Harris & his nieces and nephews as well as cousins.

Brian will be missed by many, especially myself and our daughter Lacy Powell.
