Brendan "Jay" Deaton

Brendan "Jay" Deaton, 36, of Gastonia passed away October 17, 2013 at his home. He was born May 9, 1977 in Gaston County son of Beth Parker Deaton and the late Spencer Ulrich Deaton. A visitation time with the family will be from 4:00 -5:00pm Monday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd. Gastonia, NC 28052. A Time of Remembrance at 5:00 pm officiated by the Honorable Judge Jessie Caldwell and Pastor Ray Hardee. Interment will be private. In addition to his mother, he is survived by: his brother, Jody Deaton and wife Fedra of Gastonia; sister, Jaime Huneycutt and husband Wesley of Gastonia; nephews, Joey and Jonathan Deaton; niece, Jillian Huneycutt; special friend, Rita Boone; sons, Ryan and Dylan; grandmother, Mary J. Parker; uncles, Joey, Jeff, and Jim Parker. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by: his dog, Petey. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
