Brenda Jean Yelton

Brenda Jean Yelton, 61, of Clover went to be with the Lord on October 19, 2013 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia. She was born September 12, 1952 in Gaston County daughter of Max and Johnnie Parker. A graveside service will be held 3:00 pm Tuesday at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia officiated by Rev. Jesse Bowles. The family will receive friends from 6:00 -8:00 pm Monday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd. Gastonia, NC 28052. She was a beloved housewife, mother of 6 children and wife of 42 years to the late Jerry Yelton Sr. In addition to her parents Mrs. Yelton is survived by: her sons, Jerry Yelton Jr., Mike Yelton and wife Beth, Randy Yelton and fiancée Telly Johnson, Dwayne Yelton and wife Debbie; daughters, Donna Nix and husband Keith, Sherry Yelton; grandchildren, Matt Hawkins, Jerry Yelton III, Melanie Yelton, Meredith Yelton, Chase Yelton, Kiersten McGuirt, Justin Martin, Hunter Yelton; great grandchild, Carter. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by: her brother, Bobby Anderson. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
