Brenda, a woman of immense strength, resilience, and unwavering faith, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2024, at the age of 74. Her life, though filled with profound loss and hardship, was a testament to her love for God and her unshakeable spirit.

Throughout her journey, Brenda faced the heart-wrenching loss of her three beloved children: Atuake, Annette, and Rusty Foxx. Though the weight of grief was heavy, her faith in God and her enduring love for her family sustained her through the most difficult times. She is also predeceased by her siblings and many special friends all of whom she loved.

She is survived by her devoted grandson and best friend, Mark Culbertson, and his partner Jason, who were a constant source of love and companionship. She also leaves behind her grandson Jonathan Surber and his wife Beth, granddaughter Amber Gibson and her partner Robbie, who will forever cherish her memory. Many chosen grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her legacy continues through her three precious great-granddaughters and a soon-to-be great-grandson, all of whom brought her joy and pride. In her final years, she found immense comfort and companionship in her cherished granddog, Tess.

Brenda, was a woman who loved deeply, gave selflessly, and found solace in her faith, even in the darkest of times. She will be remembered for her strength, her unwavering belief in the goodness of God, and the love she showered upon her family, and her love of creating new things, Brenda could always be found doing a new craft project.

She is now reunited with her children in eternal peace, but her presence and love will be felt by those she left behind for generations to come.

The family will receive family and friends 7:00-9:00pm, Friday, September 20, 2024, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052. A funeral service will be held 1:00, Saturday, at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the caring kind souls at the Levine Dickson Hospice in Huntersville for providing her with comfort in her last hours.
