Brenda Kay Rogers Meeks

Brenda Kay Rogers Meeks, 80, of Clover, SC, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Atrium Health in Pineville.

A native of Gaston County, NC, she was born on January 10, 1943, to the late George and Irene Rogers.

Brenda enjoyed spending time with her family. She was the kindest soul you would ever meet. She was a very giving and loving person. She worked in textiles for over 50 years. She retired from Parkdale Mills in 2006.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bartley R. Meeks Jr.; daughter, Renia P. Dye.

Brenda is survived by her children, Robin P. Poole, Victoria Hogan (Jeff), Tommy Meeks (Michelle), Bartley Meeks III (Gail); siblings, George Rogers (Charlotte), Joyce Dawkins, Bobby Rogers (Charlotte), Johnny Rogers (Linda), Jimmy Rogers (Nancy), Mary Clark (Bill); grandchildren, James Henderson, Danielle Powell (Mark), Stephanie Poole, Brandon Spaulding, Darron Spaulding (Gabi), Jennifer Nichols (Richard), Jenna Ames (Aarron), Caitlin Morrison (A.J.), Charlie Meeks, Heather McCutcheon (Jon-Matthew); ten great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service officiated by Pastor Bobby Meeks, will be held Friday, December 8, 2023, 12:00 pm, at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 3717 Hickory Grove Road, Gastonia, NC 28056. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
