Brenda Armstrong Marra

Brenda Armstrong Marra, 77, of Hickory, went to be with the Lord on November 20, 2020.

She was born June 29, 1943 in York County, SC to the late Floyd Armstrong and Ola Pettus Armstrong.

Brenda was retired after 35 years of service with the Probate Office of Gaston County. She loved the Lord and her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a beloved son, Robby Robinson.

Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Jim Marra; a son, James Marra; a daughter, Adrienne Burnham and husband Gary; two brothers, Michael Armstrong and Junior Armstrong; two sisters, Faye Armstrong and Judy Armstrong; six grandchildren, Alex Fitschen and husband Matt, Hannah Robinson, Cody Marra, Amanda Ricciardi, Arianna Ricciardi, and Vito Ricciardi; a great-grandchild who brought her much joy, Samantha Fitschen; a special friend, Ann Millwood; and a daughter-in-law, Paula Robinson.

A memorial service, officiated by Pastor Scott Whitner, will be held Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 6:00 pm at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Operation Christmas Child, c/o Samaritan's Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
