Brenda Hall Buchanan

Brenda Hall Buchanan, 68, of Cherryville, passed away December 24, 2013 at her home. She was born March 2, 1945 in Gaston County, she was the last of ten children born to the late Clyde Hall and Dollie Packett Hall. Mrs. Buchanan was of Baptist faith. She graduated from Gaston College and was retired from Western Auto. Brenda loved spending time with her granddaughters and enjoyed jet-ski riding, boating, line dancing and reading . She also enjoyed eating out with her friends. A celebration of Brenda's life will be held 7:00 p.m. on Friday at Greene Funeral Service, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Pastors Ray Hardee and Eric Griffin. The family will receive friends 5:00 - 6:45 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. A graveside and interment service will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, officiated by Pastor Joe Hall, at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia. Brenda is survived by: her beloved husband of 35 years ,Gerald Buchanan of the home; beloved children, Bobby Ray Queen Jr. and wife Emily of Dallas, Andrea Queen Poole and husband Rodney of Gastonia, Gerald Buchanan II of Washington, DC; precious granddaughters, Marissa Lynn Messer and Georgia Olivia Queen, Megan Noel Poole; great grandson, Kaiden Blake; special nephew, Todd Michaels; special nieces, Gail Black and Joy Williams for always being there; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: sisters, Coleen Hall, Lila Brown, Dorothy Jackson, Katherine Self, Cartha Michaels, Velma Woody; brothers, O.B. Hall, Elmon Hall, Gary Hall.
