Brasby McCullen Evans

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Brasby McCullen Evans, age 68, on July 3, 2026. Born on October 14, 1957, Brasby dedicated his life to his family, his career, and his love of music.

He will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and unwavering support. Brasby had a profound love for music, often finding joy in singing and exploring sounds that brought him closer to those he cherished. His enthusiasm for life extended beyond his passions, and he held a deep sense of pride in his career as a Correction Officer within the law enforcement sector, where he made a positive impact on many lives. He loved his children, grandchildren and great children.

He is survived by his wife, Joann Evans; sons, Brasby Evans Jr. and Alonzo Evans; daughter, Erica Jackson; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Raven, Romento Gardner, Gabrielle Gamble; and brother, La'Keith Spruill.

Brasby is preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo Evans and Betty Young; daughter, Darcel Evans; brother, Wydell Evans; and sister, Darcel Evans.
