Bradford Hope

Bradford Lloyd Hope, 70, of Blacksburg, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Cherokee Medical Center in Gaffney.

Born on October 17, 1951, in Gaston County, Bradford was the son of the late Lloyd and Joyce Patterson Hope.

A graduate of Hunter Huss Highschool, Bradford would later go on to retire from the US Marine Corp after 23 years of service at the rank of Master Sergeant.

In addition to his parents, Bradford is preceded in death by his sister, Mandy Hope and nephew, Don Griffin.

Left to cherish Mr. Hope's memories are his sister, Merica Reid of Blacksburg; niece, Holly Kutulas and husband, Chris of Blacksburg; nephews, Josh Reid and wife, April of Gaffney, Raven Reid and wife, Abigail of Gaffney, and Brandon Hope and wife, Melena of Blacksburg; and 4 great nephews.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Grady Gregory, will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S York Rd, Gastonia, NC, 28052.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment to follow the service at Gaston Memorial Park.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium.
