Bonnie Earline Marlowe

Bonnie Earline Wease Marlowe, 82, of Gastonia passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023, at The Greens, formerly The Brian Center in Gastonia.

She was born in Cleveland County to the late Earl Cloust and Laura Jane Wease on June 5, 1940.

Bonnie was a beloved mom, sister, Mawmaw and friend. She was a lifetime NASCAR and was an avid Jimmie Johnson fan. She also enjoyed singing, listening to gospel music. Her family was her world. She had a kind soul and an infectious smile in which she never met a stranger. One of her favorite pass times was always loving and supporting her family and friends through their daily chats, which will be missed by many.

In addition to her parents Bonnie was preceded in death by the father of her children, Fet Marlowe; sister-in-law, Lucy Wease; brother-in-law, Frank Curtis.

Bonnie is survived by her daughters, Pam Wortman and husband Jeff, Shelly Thacker and husband Eric; brother, Sonny Wease; sister, Kathy Wease Curtis; grandchildren, Summer Wortman, B.J. Brooks; great-grandchildren, Kiley Harmon, Ella Wortman, Layney Brooks, Colton Brooks, Jessa Brooks, Ava Brooks.

A funeral service officiated by Reverend Johnny Yarbro will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at 1:00 pm at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Road Gastonia, NC 28052.

Visitation will be one hour prior at the funeral home.

Interment will be at 3:00 pm at Sunset Memory Garden in Shelby, NC.
