Bobby Parson

Bobby Dorsey Parson, 77, of Gastonia, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021, at his residence.

He was born on January 24, 1944, in Gaston County to the late Boyce and Rosa Powell Parson.

Bobby retired from Firestone after 48 years of service. He loved automobiles, especially trucks. Bobby enjoyed working outside in his yard.

Left to cherish Bobby's memories are his wife of 56 years, Linda Parson; daughters, Lisa Parson Jones, and Pam Burgan; sisters, Maggie McBee (Larry) and Rosa Lee Tart; longtime friend, Melvin Boone; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and special grandson, Timothy Parson.

A Gathering of Friends and Family will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lincolnton Hospice & Palliative Care – 900 Dontia Dr., Lincolnton, NC 28092.
