Bobby E. Medford

Forest City, NC Bobby E. Medford, age 72 of Forest City,passed away April 16, 2013, at Brian Center Health & Rehab., Gastonia. He was born May 8, 1940 in High Shoals, NC, son of the late Wayne and Sallie Sue Wright Medford. Mr. Medford was a loving husband who spoiled his wife and loved his children and grandchildren. He was a member of Sandy Mush Baptist Church. He loved bowling, fishing and gardening. A celebration of life service will be held 5:30 pm on Friday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Fred Morrison. The family will receive friends after the service. Interment is private. He is survived by: his loving wife of 36 years, Doris Medford; daughters and sons in-law, Cindy and Lee Johnson of Hampstead, NC, Rhonda Medford of Waynesville, Pam Medford of Gastonia, Edna and Jim Ratz of Wisconsin; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: sons, Larry and Freddie Bennett; daughter, Jeanie Futch; grandson, David Futch; granddaughter, Tracy Zornow; great granddaughter, Amanda Waddell.
