Bobby Edward Maddox

Bobby Edward Maddox, 81, of Gastonia, passed away Friday, August 18, 2017 at. the Robin Johnson House.

He was born March 19, 1936, native of Gaston County, son of the late George Franklin Maddox and Flossie Stowe Maddox.  He was a retired US Navy veteran.

A memorial service will be held 5:30 pm Monday at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service 1503 S York Rd. Gastonia, with Pastor Chris Norris, officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 8 pm at the funeral home.

Left to cherish his memories are his daughters, Melinda Lunsford and husband Benny, Bobbie Cantrell and husband Burton; siblings, George Maddox, Gerald Maddox and wife Carole, Ruby Hamilton, Sherry Ann McCall and husband John; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Maddox Wilson; brothers, Tom Maddox and Richard Maddox; grandson, Mitchell Hallman; granddaughter, Christy Lynn David.
