Bobby "Bert" Harold Cloninger

Bobby Harold "Bert" Cloninger, 79, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024, at his residence, in his bed, asleep.

He was born in Cabarrus County on August 8, 1944, to the late Paul and Lorene Cloninger.

Bobby attended Good News Tabernacle Baptist Church in Bessemer City, with his three granddaughters.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was also preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Cloninger; daughter, Karen Cloninger; brother, Gene Cloninger.

Bobby is survived by his son, Timothy Loftis; granddaughters, Madison Loftis, Katrina Loftis, Chloe Loftis.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Ray Goodson, will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2024, 2:00 PM, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Gaston Memorial Park.
