Bobby Gene Short

Bobby Gene Short, 69, of Kings Mountain, passed away on October 27, 2016, at his home.

He was born April 4, 1947, in Cleveland County, son of the late Mills Monroe Short and Carrie Freedell Short.

Mr. Short was a member of Grover Church of God.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 31, 2016, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Ron Hawkins.

The family will receive friends 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Sunday, October 30, 2016, at the funeral home.

Interment will at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain.

Mr. Short is survived by son, Chris Short and wife Cathy; daughter, Christina Paysour; brothers, Harold, Jackie and Vernon Short; sisters, Mary and Geraldine Mull; grandchildren, Jessica and Melody Short, Jamie and Joshua Barefoot, Savannah Paysour; great- grandchild, Lillian Marie Edwards.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by wife, Joann Short; brothers, Ronnie and Ricky Short; sister, Gail Short.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
