Bobby "Bob" Donaldson, 82, of Gastonia, passed away November 6, 2015 at the Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas. He was born May 4, 1933 in Murphy, NC, son of the late Fred and Ezra Marie Donaldson. Bob was a US Army veteran who served during the Korean War. He was a member of Trinity Holiness Church of God and was retired from Carolina Mills after over 15 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, U.L Cole, and granddaughter, Sydney Marie Davis. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of over 32 years, Wanda Panther Donaldson of the home; children, Darrell Donaldson of Dallas, Janice Rainwater of Cherryville, Dawn Davis and husband Daniel of Bessemer City, Lea Ann Donaldson of Gastonia, Katie Sherer of Gastonia, and Molly Donaldson of Gastonia; brother, Joben Donaldson and wife Verdi of Murphy; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Raymond Priest and Pastor Johnny Pendleton, will be held 1 pm Wednesday at Trinity Holiness Church of God, 1525 W. Davidson Ave, Gastonia. The family will receive friends 6:30 - 8:30 pm Tuesday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia. Interment will be in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Blacksburg, SC.
