Bobby "Bob" D. Gibson

Lowell, NC Bobby "Bob" D. Gibson, 74, passed away June 7, 2013, at his home. He was born April 9, 1939 in Gaston County, son of the late Carl Vernon and Dora Ware Gibson. Mr. Gibson was a simple man who loved his family dearly. He loved woodworking and making wood crafts. A funeral service will be held 2 pm on Monday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Matt Seagle. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm on Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia. He is survived by: sons, Carl Vernon Gibson of Lowell, Michael Gibson and Terri of Gastonia; daughters, Sharon Gibson McFee of Lowell, Marsha Gibson Robinson and Bryan of Alexis; brother, Charles "Sonny" Gibson; sister, Ila Bumgarner; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his loving wife of 49 years, Lillie Mae Gibson; five brothers and four sisters. Memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice, P. O.
