Bobbie Sowell

Bobbie Jean Sowell, 82, of Gastonia, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at her residence.

Born on February 21, 1939, in York County, SC, to the late Robert Lamar Drennan and Ninnie Barnette Quinn.

Bobbie was a member of South Marietta Baptist.

In addition to her parents, Bobbie is preceded in death by her husband, Niles Blair "Sonny" Sowell.

Left to cherish Bobbie's memories are her sons, Blair Sowell (Cyndi), Mark Sowell, and Kevin Sowell; daughters, Robin Davidson (John), and Kelly Leigh (Keith); sister, Dolorese Taylor; grandchildren, Hayley Bretherton (Michael), Kayley Leigh, Logan Leigh, McKenley Leigh, and Bobby Niles Leigh; great grandchild, Violet Burns; and beloved dog, Bia.

A graveside service, officiated by Connor Bastin, will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 14, 2022, at Gaston Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice – PO Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054.
