Bobbie Jane Snipes

Bobbie Jane Snipes, 82, of Mt. Holly, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

She was born on August 27, 1940, in Greenville County, South Carolina to the late Henry and Dora Thurston.

Bobbie was a member of Community Pentecostal Center Church in Stanley, where she was a former children's Sunday School teacher, and worked with Vacation Bible School. Bobbie loved the Lord, and she loved her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Snipes; and brother Fredrick Thurston.

Bobbie is survived by her daughter, Laura Cornell, and husband James; four grandchildren, Bryan Woolard, Travis Snipes, Brandon Snipes, Brittney Snipes.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, December 11, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Community Pentecostal Center Church, 320 Ralph Handsel Blvd., Stanley, NC.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 10, 2022, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd. Gastonia, NC.

Burial will follow the service at Hillcrest Cemetery in Mt. Holly.
