Billy Joe Turner

Billy Joe Turner, 72, of Gastonia, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas. He was born July 21, 1941 in Union County, NC, son of the late Lawrence and Flossie Woodliff Turner. Mr. Turner was retired from Mastec in Charlotte. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lawrence "Bud" Turner. Billy is survived by his loving wife of almost 49 years, Dorothy Mosley Turner of the home; daughter, Annette Jackson and husband Mark of Lake Wylie, SC; brother, Clarence Turner; and grandchildren, Matthew, Joseph, and Sarah Jackson. A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Danny Gardner, will be held 3 pm Tuesday, April 29 at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Robin Johnson Hospice House c/o Gaston Hospice, P.O. Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054. Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
