Billy Joe Lowery

Billy Joe Lowery, 76, of Belmont, NC, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2023 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

He was born in Mecklenburg County on June 15, 1946, son of the late Billy Joe Mullis and Betty Lowery Hall.

Billy was a veteran of the US Army. He was always on the go. He enjoyed woodworking and going to the flea market.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Susan Lowery; daughters, Kim Lowery and Bobbie Jean Strain; sisters, Nancy Hall and Martha.

Billy is survived by his sons, Stacy Lowery, Danny Lowery, Joseph Lowery; daughters, Tammy Lowery, Jenny Burgan, Betty Lowery, Renee Lowery; sisters, Rachel Hawkins Ruth Summey; several grandchildren including, Nicole Angeles, Brandon Burgan, Spank Lowery; several great-grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 4:00 – 5:00 PM at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematory, 1503 S. York Road, Gastonia, NC.
