Billy Thomas Harmon, Jr.

Billy Thomas Harmon, Jr."Whiskey", 59, of Gastonia, passed away October 28, 2014. He was born August 18, 1955 in Hammond County, Indiana, son of the late Billy T. Harmon, Sr. and Nora Harmon. Billy was a member of Lighthouse Full Gospel Church of Mt. Holly. He was an avid fisherman and a life-long truck driver. He was a selfless man who always helped others. Billy loved his church and was a Godly man. Billy left behind his loving family; his wife of over 30 years, Mary Harmon; daughter, Jennifer West; sisters, Patricia Hamilton and husband, Tommy, Phyllis Boles and husband, Billy; Pamela Swindell and husband, Neal; grandchildren, William and Madison West. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Murphy. A funeral service will be held 11 am Saturday at Lighthouse Full Gospel Church 513 N. Hawthorne St., Mt. Holly, officiated by Pastors Herman Winkler and Kevin McClure. Visitation will be held 6 - 8 pm on Friday the night before at Greene Funeral Service - South Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your choice of The American Heart Association -222 S. Church St., Suite 303, Charlotte, NC 28202 or The American Diabetes Association - 1300 Baxter St., Suite 150, Charlotte, NC 28204. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
