Bill Kiser

Bill Kiser, 94, passed away August 23, 2016 at the Robin Johnson House.  He was born April 11, 1922 in Gaston County and was the son of the late Roy Kiser and the late Bessie Jackson Kiser.  Bill was a US WWII Navy Veteran and a member of the WWII Last Man Standing organization.  He was a member of South Marietta Street Baptist Church and a past member of the Gaston Bee Keepers Association.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm Saturday at South Marietta Street Baptist Church 911 South Marietta St. Gastonia, and will be officiated by Pastor Charlie Littlejohn.  The family will receive friends from 1 – 1:45 pm prior to the service at the church.  Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park with military honors provided by the Gaston County Honor Guard.

Left to cherish his memory are his son and daughter in-law, Glenn and Nancy Kiser; a daughter in-law, Dana Herron; grandson, Chad and great granddaughter, Harley.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Kiser; son, Charles "Chuck" Herron; and grandson, "Chuckie" Herron.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Robin Johnson House PO Box 3984 Gastonia, NC 28054.  Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
